You’re probably all wondering why I occasionally capitalize the words “Them,” “Their,” and other third-person plural pronouns. Well, each capitalized instance of these terms means “Pokémon.” ”Them” is easier to type, requires no accented letters, and is a more socially acceptable term. As much as I love Them, I (and many of my colleagues) find that word difficult to say, as it seems to have developed a negative connotation over the years since its popularity was in the parents-getting-into-fistfights-in-toy-stores levels. If you don’t know me personally you would probably never guess that They intrigue me to a level my friends deem unhealthy. Some might even say I worship Them, as I call Pokédexes “Bibles” and refuse to partake in activities that may pose Them any inconvenience, libel, or harm. There you go, you now what it means now, so go do something better with your life.
